In the Making
As you know we only have 6 weeks to go until Paisley should arrive. This past weekend Weston and I worked on getting everything ready for her room and may I add that I feel very pleased thus far! The room started out a two tone brown color.
Now her room is the hot cocoa brown on the bottom and 3 of the walls have what they call "New Penny" on the top however it is more of a wheat color than a penny color hee hee.
The fourt wall has PINK of course :) the color is called Brazillian Blush and may I add it is my favorite of all three colors in the room! Weston helped out so much! It amazes me how big he is getting to be. He wants to help in everything we do for Paisley and can't wait for her to get here!
In order to bring in more of the pink/raspberry color we painted the squares on her closet door as well as the inside of her bedroom door.
Her room isn't quite finished yet, I still have some polka dots to paint and some pretty viney things to paint on the walls as well. Here is a photo of what the bedding looks like along with the crib, the changing station and her dresser! :)

I am hoping to be able to finish up the small details on December 30th and hopefully get some photos uploaded so you can see them!

When life happens
Back in Janurary we found out we were pregnant, then in Feburary we misscarried and that was quite possibly the hardest thing we had gone through. Little did we know God had big plans for us.
One day in May I wasn't feeling too well and thought maybe I should take a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side. After my hubby and I finished our date night we headed to HEB to get the pregnancy test. I am sure it looked quite funny buying a chocolate bar and a pregnancy test at the same time but hey it was totally impulse buying!
After taking the test we were shocked to see the brightest blue + sign ever! I cried and cried thinking what if this is the same situation... how could we go through this all over again. After a lot of praying and comforting from my loving husband I finally calmed down and realized this could actually go the full 9 months and we could have a fantastic little baby!
The next morning we called the doctor and told them we took the test and it was infact positive and they wanted me in as soon as possible to do some blood work. After the blood work came back positive with great numbers to show the pregnancy is good and strong the excitment really kicked in! We decided not to tell anyone until after the results came back so we then started calling family and letting them know. We were so excited we couldn't wait to tell the whole world but to be on the safe side we decided not to tell everyone just family until a little further in the pregnancy. Of course that didn't count Lauren whom I couldn't resist telling :) I knew she would have great words for me since she has been in the same boat we were and could help me cope as well.
The pregnancy has been a totally different case then when I was pregnant with our little boy Weston. With Weston I wasn't sick at all and I had so much energy, with this one I was sick the first trimester, part of the second and so far part of the third haa haa.
When we went in for our sonogram to see if it was a boy or a girl Nana was there with us, the nurse asked if we wanted a boy or a girl and my hubby said he didn't care as long as it is a healthy baby, me on the other hand told her I am not going to lie I want a little girl. After making sure everything looked ok we then saw that it is a little GIRL!!!! I was so excited! We already knew we would name her Paisley Dawn :) After leaving the doctor office I told my husband we cannot call anyone until we have spoken with Pops... after all we knew how much he wanted a little girl! We called him twice and received his voicemail both times. When we finally got ahold of him and told him we were having a little girl he was super excited! He said he had already bought her an outfit and he couldn't wait!
Our first expected due date was 2/2/2011 which happens to be my mothers birthday as well :) after a few more visits they changed the date to 2/1/2011 which isn't that far away! We have 6 weeks and 5 days until her expected due date!!!
So far things have gone pretty well, I am borderline diabetic and borderline anemic but if I watch what I eat and make sure to take my prenatals then everything should go smoothly! As far as cravings go I love brocoli and I am not eating as many sweets as I normally do. The main place I eat at is Jason's Deli... I love the club light and the chicken pot pie soup, the chocolate pudding with chocolate chips, and ofcourse you can't go to Jason's with out getting icecream!
